How does it work?

Every year we help and support lots of candidates. Find through De Huissleutel the most matching property to you! 

Why do we work with a motivation mail? We find this the most fair way of selection, the candidates have their chance to introduce themselves as well as possible to the renter. We also ask for a number of documents, this is to be able to assess your file as well as possible, you are free to choose which documents you submit and which ones not. It is true that the file can be better assessed if it is complete.

You, as the renter, have no costs towards the agency De Huissleutel, not even when you actually accept and rent a property through De Huissleutel.

Follow these steps:

1.  Sign up! With this account you can plan viewing appointments for all your favorite properties, there are no costs attached to this;
2. De properties not shown on our website are not available at that moment. 
3. Go to your wished property that is available and click on “Make an appointment”;
4. Your application form will then come to our system and we will inform you about the viewing appointment as fast as possible;
5. You can upload your documentation in advance in your account, which will be discussed with the landlord if you submit a request for this. We advise you to submit the request after the viewing moment. You can also rent the house unseen, but the candidates will only be discussed after the viewing moment. Please note, renting unseen means that you agree to the property without having seen it.
6. Submit a request: Send an email to tilburg@dehuissleutel.nl with the street name + house number as subject. You write by email:

Dear de Huissleutel,

My documentation in my account may be used for (street name + house number).

7. The landlord chooses on the basis of this selection procedure selects the new tenant(s), which can take up to approximately 2 weeks. Please wait patiently for the status of the property.
